♥My Blog♥: Camp-out/Fly-in!

A couple days ago was the pathfinder Camp-out, and also the Fly-in. Arriving at our friend's house we quickly set up our tent and took a nap as we waited for all the others to arrive. It was a nice relaxing afternoon with lots of sunshine and a warm breeze! Supper around the picnic table with hotdogs and oatmeal patties, potato salad and beans, chips, juice and chocolate cake. We worked on honors, did skits, and games. Then crashed at about midnight. In the morning at 8:00 was the Fly-in breakfast, so when running on only 5 hours of sleep, its kind of hard to be spry! ;) Early in the morning at around 6:30 I went to wash my hair, then went back to the tent to do some reading. After about 10 minutes of being in the tent, I heard footsteps...strange I thought, maybe its just the pathfinder leader. So I thought nothing of it and continued to read! About 10 minutes later my sister arrives laughing and asking me if I enjoyed the view. "What view?" I replied. "Just open the tent," she explained, but when I found that my tent zippers would not open, I knew I'd been had! The guys had come and tied the tent zippers together so I couldn't get out...then proceeded to stick barrels around it. Finally after being in there 15 minutes, my sister came and had someone cut the ties so I could get out! :P Needless to say, the guys thought it was pretty funny, and I knowing I had been tricked, couldn't help but laugh! :) After all that, we prepared for the Fly-in breakfast. Making waffles, scrambled eggs, veggie sausages, and coffee, we waited for the first plane to fly in. We had a pretty good turnout, and I managed to get some pictures of some of the planes!
