Writing is one of the most powerful tools you could use to either persuade, create an understanding, tear down, or bring peace and happiness to others. Words are extremely powerful and can be used for good or bad. They are sharper than any sword and can pierce the heart with such an intensity that not even one could describe the excruciating agony one may experience from words used in a negative way. Writing is one of my favorite past times, and I hope that in whatever I write, I use my words in a positive way!
Music…describes passion in a soothing and melodic way! Music can share with others the intense feelings of someone or just describe their mood. It can be uplifting and peaceful, but it also can be tempting and depressing. Music has such a powerful effect on everyone, and it can be used for either good or bad. I enjoy listening to music, playing an instrument, and singing. It helps me escape into a whole other world where I can let my feelings out and express myself in my own way. Music is the words that cannot be described or spoken.
"Reach high, for stars lie hidden in your soul, dream deep, for every dream precedes the goal."

Paradise!
When you hear of the word Paradise...what do you think? Maybe you think of a sandy beach with scattered palm trees and soft, blue ocean waves that hit the shore. Or perhaps a cabin near the snow covered peaks in the mountains. Whatever your dream of paradise is like, have you ever wondered what it would be like to have lived during Adam and Eve's time; in their garden of paradise? A place where everything was perfect in itself; a place where you could find lions and lambs laying down together in the grass, where not a leaf would fall from a tree, where fruit was abundant and fresh…never going bad, and where every sound rested on your ears like sweet music. That is the paradise I think about when I hear the word, and I often wonder what the Garden of Eden was like. It’s hard to think of everything as perfect at one time when today we’ve never known perfect. The world we live in today is far from that word, and no matter what kind of paradise we hope for in this world, nothing will ever be perfect. We’ll have times of trouble and bad experiences even in our own little paradise. But the hope that we have and can look forward to is knowing that someday we will live in a perfect place where everything that surrounds us will be splendid and unimaginable. God right now, at this very minute, is preparing a wonderful place for us where we shall someday go and live with Him forever. Now that’s Paradise!

Family Wedding!
On Sunday, October 20th 2013, Taylor and Albert got married! Quite a few people attended the beautiful and elegant wedding, all dressed in red and white. The wedding party was great, the bride stunning, the food wonderful, the pictures fun, and the decorations gorgeous! It was such a happy day for the two of them, and I had the privilege of being the maid of honor for my sister. It was truly a wonderful and exciting day for everyone! Here's several pictures from the wedding, hope you enjoy them! :)

Life at DAA!
So these past few months have been extremely busy at school! From homework and friends, to social outings, music groups, trips to Lincoln, etc. It all has kept me pretty busy! :) Although some of it is stressful, a lot of it is also a ton of fun! :D The people here are just amazing and I've made so many new friends and grown close to quite a few of them. The days are filled with learning, homework, laughter, goofing off in the dorm with friends, singing up and down the halls, raising money for my Senior class, working in the cafe, singing in DAK, and performing in gymnastics. It's all been a great deal of fun, and I'm so thankful that I've chosen to come to DAA! (: Here's some pictures of day to day life in academy and what we do during the school year.
